Suggest A Tutorial

Since hv-designs has converted over to wordpress it has opened many doors and has dramatically improved, although there is always room for improvements. HV-Designs has always thought of its own tutorials and has never really asked or found out what our visitors want to see,…. so nows the chance for you to speak your mind and suggest the tutorials you want to see.

HV-Designs is all out of idea’s and needs an area where i can re-treat to for idea’s. Firstly i just want to thank everyone who has commented on my tutorials, the comments i receive are greatly appreciated.

 Things to bare in-mind…

 TUTORIALS THAT INTREST YOU:

When i write my tutorials i normally just write what ever comes into my head at the time, or sometimes if i see an image around the Internet it gives me inspiration, this is why there is quite a lot of variety. Anyhow are there any specific types of topic that you’re interested in seeing tutorials on?

Things like:
Web Design,
Photo Manipulation,
Text effects,
How to achieve a particular kind of look.
… etc the list goes on.

Many Thanks hv-designs.

I’ve been looking for a glass football tutorial, when I say football I mean soccer.
What I’d like to learn to do is create a ball up close (3d) so you can see the hex shape segments but also see the back of the ball as if you were looking through it (glass, transparent) but also whilst looking through the ball, you can also see the path it has travelled (like a swirling whoosh! i.e. where it was kicked from type thing)

I hope this makes some kind of sense :o)

i think that might be exceeding photoshops abilitys, 3D studio max might be a more appropriate program for that.

  • 5 ADMIN ~ Feb 23, 2008 at 6:35 pm

how i made the actual button and animation??? or how did i link it to paypal?

  • 6 Will ~ Feb 24, 2008 at 4:56 am

Just how you linked it to paypal. So if I had some images on my web site that i wanted to sell for $100, how did you make it link up to paypal with the amount there all ready to go?

  • 7 ADMIN ~ Feb 24, 2008 at 8:35 am

paypal has got the tools on there site matey, have a quick browse throu there website tools, they give you an option to upload an image to use instead of there “donation” button.

hope this helps, if you need more assistance contact me via the “contact me link” under “other pages”

  • 17 Christian ~ Mar 21, 2008 at 9:35 pm

I was searching for a tutorial that shows how to prepare layouts for the web. More importantly slicing.

  • 18 ADMIN ~ Mar 22, 2008 at 9:09 am

well when making your web layout, you dont need to slice all of it, you only need parts of it. most of it can be done using css (cascading style sheets) if you check my css section there is a tutorial on creating/slicing & coding my car sales layout to give you some idea.

i shall be adding some more complex coding tutorials in the near future. Might even write some on creating your own wordpress template.

I once saw a photo in the source magazine (year 2000) of the face of a man, part of the face was normal, the other charred, looking really ugly, like red-hot liquid volcano lava. Any idea of how to pull that one?

  • 20 ADMIN ~ Apr 3, 2008 at 3:21 pm

il look into your suggestion, cant say ive seen anything quite like it, but il take alook non the less.

    Hi!

First of all, I just want to say how good your site is. I’ve found many great tutorials here and especially your Portfolio Layout #4 (http://hv-designs.co.uk/2008/04/20/portfolio-layout-4/).

I was wondering if you could make a css/html tutorial for it. It’s really cool and I just want to learn how to code it and stuff..

    Thanks :)

Why not making another CSS Tutorial? Especially when design gets a little bit tricky (hard to repeat etc.) Good designs could be hard to program in CSS I think.

  • 35 ADMIN ~ Jun 23, 2008 at 3:11 pm

there is another css tutorial lined up ;) just got alot of other work to do also :)
