Hi im Richard Carpenter im a freelance web and graphics designer from England. I am also a regular Blogger, Tutorial Writer, and owner of HV-Designs. You can follow me on twitter HERE. You may also view my portfolio HERE.

The tutorial has been asked to be removed as it looks to much like THIS. Apparantly they said i purchased the template and past it off as my own. I just want a moment to defend myself as its untrue. Most of the styles i copied from my own site I.E the navigation is the same as mine, just smaller. The whole site was pretty much based on my current design with just a few tweaks here and there. Sorry folks.

  16. Great tutorial.

  17. Rick says:

Does anyone here happen to have the downloads? I tossed the PDF tut D:

  18. ADMIN says:

    many thanks for your reply.

  19. Alz says:

Wow. It is similar, but nothing is really the same. The only thing that is slightly the same is the navigation at the top. Next they’ll be saying that BLOOpress looks exactly like it, but with a few tweaks, like adding the lines etc. Nothing really looks the same, I don’t see how they can accuse you of that mate. If they think that you bought the template, then they should have logs of who downloaded it, why not check?

Well, whenn the tutorial was there, it was great, and it does actually look like this template a lot more than it does theirs, just with a few colours changed and the sidebar split off.

Just my opinion and keep up the fantastic work.

  20. Sebastian says:

Yeah, you got played. I would tell them that they should look up their logs or something. I mean, you have plenty of proof that you’re actually doing this yourself.

Tough luck. I wish I could get a pdf of this or something.

  21. ADMIN says:

PDF is still available to download VIA pt.3 ;)

  22. Alz says:

Heh, so they don’t like the how to create it yourself tutorial, but they don’t mind the coding parts and the free downloading of the finished product? To be honest, it looks like they have no clue on what they are actually doing.

  23. That site looks nothing like yours and all their articles are just Lorem Ipsum

  24. EC says:

Lol i think they ripped you o.O

  25. Spruce says:

Lots of thanks for sharing good view on wordpress

  26. Dan says:

You should put it back up that convergence theme holds nothing original in itself and seems to have being intentionally designed in the first place to copy the tuts network of sites.

  27. THE PDF FILE containing all 3 tutorials is available here http://www.hv-designs.co.uk/tutorials/mywordpress_pt3/tutorial_PDF.zip

  28. Michael says:

What a bunch of wankers those guys are! I’m sorry to see the tut was removed. Looked like really interesting stuff. Many thanks btw for excellent site. :)

  29. GeekBlitz says:

Thank you for sharing your knowledge in converting a psd into a wordpress theme. I’ve been looking for it for like a couple of weeks now. This is a great treat for me. Thanks so much.

I feel sorry that you had to remove the part 1 of your tutorial, but it’s cool that you’ve provided a complete pdf of the whole tutorial.

Please keep helping us new designers. Thanks again. Merry Christmas!
